The Ohio Attorney General’s Office certified the petition for the proposed marijuana legalization amendment to the Ohio constitution Friday.

This comes after the group ResponsibleOhio collected 1,000 valid signatures from registered voters and submitted their proposed amendment.

Now the Ohio Ballot Board has 10 days to make sure the amendment only contains a single issue. After that, the campaign needs to collect more than 300,000 signatures from 44 of Ohio’s 88 counties. If the signatures are found to be valid, the ballot will be certified.
