As it turns out, and as some of you may already know. Cannabis has been cultivated since damn near the beginning of time, and is certainly one of the oldest materials used since ancient times. Perhaps even antediluvian, in fact, it has to be. That is another story for another time, but here is a cool documentary on some of the uses of Cannabis that goes as far back as history records. Maybe even further? The word cannabis comes from ancient Babylon. ‘Canna’ meaning stalk, and ‘Bis,’ meaning two. Of two stalks, since the plant is either male, or female. The Chinese used Hemp paper extensively, far before the west ever discovered paper, and was later introduced into Europe in the 8th century.
But this is just scratching the surface. There are more than likely some uses of the plant we
have yet to discover, but it has been used medically since the year 2800b.c.
